Karuna and Sagar, or #KarunaKaSagar, which in Hindi reads as karuna ka sagar, an ocean of compassion. Two people who loved working from home so much that they wanted to get married there too.
A wedding at home sounds simple until you plan it. There is no banquet team, no back of house, no second venue to move to when one function ends and the next begins. Everything has to be built, used, cleared and rebuilt in the same space, sometimes overnight.
We created two distinct looks across three days, with their own decor, entertainment and catering, for the sangeet, the cocktail and the wedding, all for 150 guests in one home. The word we kept using while it came together was “uff”, उफ़. The word the family used afterwards was “wow”.
