At EventStory by GNS we agree on one total with you first, then split it across venue, food, decor, entertainment and everything else before a single booking is made. From then on we track three numbers for every item: what we estimated, what it actually cost, and what has been paid. You always know where the money stands.
It depends mostly on how many guests and how many days. Stay and food at a resort runs roughly ₹12,000 to 16,000 per guest per day for a simpler wedding, ₹30,000 to 45,000 for mid range, and ₹50,000 to 70,000 or more for luxury. So 150 guests for two days at ₹15,000 comes to about ₹45 lakh for stay and food. Decor, which starts around ₹10 lakh, and entertainment come on top.
Adding functions late, adding guests after the rooms are blocked, and booking in peak season without planning for peak rates. Decor changes in the last few weeks are the other big one, because vendors charge a premium for rush work.
Vendors bill you directly and we check every invoice against what was agreed before you pay. Nothing gets paid for work that hasn't been delivered.
