Wedding Questions

Planning a wedding involves many details, and questions are bound to arise. To assist you, we've compiled answers to some of the most common inquiries about our services and the planning process. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.

  • Where have you planned destination weddings?

At EventStory by GNS we have planned weddings at Samode Palace and Chokhi Dhani in Jaipur, Alsisar Mahal in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Tiaara in Jim Corbett, and a couple of beach weddings in Goa. In Delhi NCR we have worked at ITC, Taj, Sheraton and Hyatt hotels, and at Country Inn in Vaishali. Most of our weddings are in Rajasthan and the hills.

  • What does a destination wedding cost per guest?

Plan on roughly ₹12,000 to 16,000 per guest per day for a simpler wedding, ₹30,000 to 45,000 for mid range, and ₹50,000 to 70,000 or more for luxury. That figure is the stay and food at the resort or hotel. Decor, entertainment and the rest sit on top of it, and we'll give you a full estimate once we know your guest list and how many days you want.

  • How do we choose the right venue?

Start with three things: your guest list, the number of rooms you need, and your budget. Not the photos. With those in hand, we shortlist properties you can buy out completely, so the whole place is yours for those days, then visit with you before you commit. A palace that looks perfect online may not have rooms for 250 guests, or may cost far more in peak season than you expected.

  • How early should we book?

A year ahead is ideal. At six to eight months, many good venues are already sold out on the popular auspicious wedding dates, the saya dates. The shortest time we can plan a wedding in is 45 days, but by then your choice of venues is small.

  • Do you plan anything other than weddings?

No. We only plan weddings, and most of them are destination weddings. Specific is terrific: it's the one thing we do, and we'd rather do it properly.
